Carnegie Award Shadowing 2018

The 2018 Carnegie Book award shortlist has been announced.  The Carnegie Award is the biggest Children and Teens book award in the UK.  Once again St Cuthbert Mayne Library will be shadowing the Carnegie award and joining with other local schools to each give presentations on one of the shortlisted titles at Stover School.  The books are:

  1. Wed Wabbit by Lissa Evans (David Fickling Books)
  2. After the Fire by Will Hill (Usborne)
  3. Where the World Ends by Geraldine McCaughrean (Usborne)
  4. Rook by Anthony McGowan (Barrington Stoke)
  5. Release by Patrick Ness (Walker Books)
  6. Saint Death by Marcus Sedgwick (Orion)
  7. The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas (Walker Books)
  8. Beyond the Bright Sea by Lauren Wolk (Corgi)

At St Cuthbert Mayne we have been allocated ‘Wed Wabbit’ for our presentation in June.  If you would like to join our Carnegie group then pop into the library and speak to one of our librarians (Mrs Best and Mrs Dennis).  All the shortlisted titles are available to borrow from the school library.
