Geography Field Trip to Slapton sands

On the 6th and 7th October, 84 Year 11 Geography students visited Slapton Sands to collect data as part of their GCSE Controlled Assessment.

Despite the very wet and windy weather conditions, the students worked conscientiously in groups measuring the beach and completing a sediment analysis, and counting the waves at different locations. This information will support the students in their write-up which constitutes 25% of their overall GCSE grade.

The students were an absolute credit to themselves and the school during this fieldtrip.
