Visit to Plymouth Roman Catholic Cathedral

On Tuesday 28th November, students and staff from St Cuthbert Mayne School attended Vespers (Evening prayer) at Plymouth Roman Catholic Cathedral on the eve of the feast of St Cuthbert Mayne. This was a special evening as principal celebrant Bishop Mark was joined by his Eminence Cardinal Vincent Nichols, Arch Bishop of Westminster and head of the Roman Catholic Church in England & Wales.

After Vespers there was an opportunity to venerate the relic of St Cuthbert Mayne followed by a reception with civic guests. Our students were made to feel very welcome as they engaged in conversation with senior clerics and other distinguished guests. They were excellent ambassadors for the school.
