Students in Year 10 have been exercising their personal views in their English classes as part of their GCSE Speaking and Listening tasks. A range of fascinating topics have been chosen from the rise of Communism to the History of tattoos and body art! Students have displayed a great sensitivity and maturity in their exploration of a range of topical issues looking to develop their skills for presentations for the future and should be congratulated on their efforts. Last year nearly all the students were entered for this element of English Language where the assessments range from Pass to Merit to Distinction. This accreditation will appear on all student certificates for GCSE English Language from 2017. It is therefore visible as a skill for future employers. Well done everyone! The English Department
